Talking Space

About Me
My name is Hanna Foconi and I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist with over 7 years of clinical work experience. I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Gothenburg University, Sweden and a postgraduate diploma in CBT from King’s College London.

I offer psychological treatment to individuals with a wide range of difficulties either in the form of short-term or longer-term therapy.

Working together, my clients gain the tools they need to make changes in their life during and long after therapy has ended. I believe therapy should be an empowering experience that can facilitate individuals getting closer to what is important to them, whilst reducing emotional distress. As a therapist I offer a compassionate, warm and honest collaborative approach. I strive to create a safe and nurturing space where my clients can face their fears and achieve meaningful change.

My expertise within therapeutic approaches includes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and compassion focused therapy (CFT) which enables me to provide tailor-made psychological interventions that suit each individual’s needs.

In addition to my private practice, I work in the NHS where I see people with mild to moderate mental health problems. I have worked with clients across the life span from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, and I value sensitively working with diversity.
